In 1935, The Manassa Mauler opened Jack Dempsey’s Restaurant on Eighth Avenue and 50th Street in New York City. After the restaurant eventually moved to Times Square on Broadway between 49th and 50th Streets, the name of the restaurant was changed to Jack Dempsey’s Broadway Restaurant.
