The unofficial start of summer is finally here!  This Monday, people across the country will be celebrating Memorial Day.  Memorial Day is a day dedicated to remembering those who have died while serving our country.  Originally known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day started three years after the Civil War.  Wives, daughters, and mothers of those who had lost their lives in battle decorated the graves of their loved ones with flags and flowers to thank them for their service.  Today, cities across the country hold parades to celebrate Memorial Day, and to mark the start of summer!

Memorial Day Weekend is a great time to gather with friends and family, to celebrate and to host a barbecue!  Now’s the time to get your grill out of storage and to fill your coolers because it is going to be perfect barbecue weather.  And because you can never have enough food at your celebration, here are some recipes to fire up some great flavors this Memorial Day Weekend.
